"sallyjacobs is one of the best stumblers out there... it's like she has a superpower that gives her the ability to sleuth up the nerdiest stuff on the Web. I'm going to make a fairly definitive statement here, and say that anyone who doesn't have an Internet crush on sallyjacobs, has no heart whatsoever. Do you hear me, Internet? No heart!" --mrvader2u.
Basically, I'm an archivist and all-around history geek. My Practical Archivist blog offers how-to advice about organizing and preserving your family treasures.
I'm also kinda obsessed with digital preservation, obsolete technology (especially audio), alternative energy and teotwawki.
As an introverted entrepreneur I keep an eye out for internet marketing advice that isn't slimy.">

Confused about the various amendments to copyright law? Yah, me too. I recommend this handy-dandy digital slider from the American Library Association. It will tell you whether or not an item is in the public domain. w00t!

Bad cop, no donut! Bad cop, no donut! Bad cop, no donut! *
Florida cop demands free coffee up to 6 times a shift and threatens to slow down future emergency responses if the baristas don't fork it over. My favorite part? "Chief Mike Chitwood says Garvin recently failed a polygraph test that he insisted on taking." Oooh hoo hoo. That is rich.
Thanks, kjripp for the find.
*I've seen this chant send riot cops into a complete and total frenzy. Use it wisely.
